Hello Visitors,

As you can see from the dates on the previous posts - it has been quite awhile since I posted to this Blog. Due to a glitch with this blog's hosting service I was prevented from access to my account. I suspect that when the original vendor - Pyra - got taken over by Google something got messed up with my account. In any event - I am back and look forward to posting on a much more regular basis.

Hello Cape Codders,

Happy Patriots Day! Reminiscing a bit today about Johnny Kelly and Stylianos Kyriakides. These two men have amazing stories tied to their experiences running the Boston Marathon and the friendship that developed. May they both rest in peace.

Back to the Blog

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! The summer of 2003 is finally here. It was a rough winter on this spit of sand and the promise of warm sunny days ahead is putting a smile on my face. This Memorial Day has been a bit soggy but that hasn't stopped the revelry going on down on Main Street Hyannis. As usual the RooBar seems to be the most happening spot on Main Street. The big news in town is the opening of a Hooters restaurant on main street. Some locals had issues with this "owl" themed establishment moving into our pristine little village of Hyannis. Well the Summer has started and I am looking forward to a great season.

Today is the birthday of this new Blog. Welcome to the Sandbar - Cape Cod Massachusetts. I sit here on this peninsula at the edge of America looking on in amazement at the crazy things happening in this country. As we move into the new millennium I will share my views on this wonderful nation of ours - America. Stay tuned...
